Dar Al-Tifel Al-Arabi Nursery and Kindergarten

The Hind al Husseini’s Nursery and Kindergarten (KG) “Dar al-Tifel al-Arabi” was established in 1948 by the late Hind al Husseini. The journey was completed and developed by Ms. Mahera al-Dajani and several of her colleagues, who are also members in the successive boards of directors, as well as the distinguished educational and pedagogical staff. The aim of this Nursery is to provide care, safety and education to needy Palestinian children, such as orphans and those coming from difficult social or financial backgrounds. The Nursery and Kindergarten grew and expanded to offer its services to all categories of the society, while giving the priority for those who are most in need.

The Nursery and KG welcomes all children from the age of three months up to five years of age. In addition to providing care and security, it offers a welcoming and fun educational environment to enable the children to accept the outer world and be part of it. It also offers children the chance to learn and discover their interests and capacities through various motor and cognitive activities. This helps them to acquire knowledge, develop their talents and their ability to deal with new people away from their home.

Goals:

  1. Welcoming and caring for children in the age of early childhood, specifically orphans, in a healthy environment that supports their intellectual, psychological and physical growth in a developed and appropriate way.
  2. Adopting and providing different supportive methods and means to discover the talents and hobbies of children, then working on strengthening and developing them.
  3. Ensuring that children acquire the basics of education that will prepare them for their future academic path.
