Book Collections
Dar Isaaf al-Nashashibi library contains several special and unique book collections that were donated by different parties. These books are mostly about Arab literature, Islamic history, philosophy, psychology, social and political issues, history of civilizations and natural history. Some of the most important collections originate from Fawzi Yusuf (517 books), Aref al-Aref (577 books), Isaac Musa al-Husseini (300 books), Center of Islamic Studies (2642 books). Our families in Jordan donated more than 9000 books through a popular campaign carried out by Yawm al Quds Society in Amman, which was headed by the late Dr. Subhi Ghosheh. This Society was responsible of the affairs of Jerusalem and Palestine. A large number of these books were donated to local cultural organizations, because al-Dar library already had copies of them, precisely 3037 of these books were already in the library. The library also contains 867 books whose source is unknown.
