The number of their titles is 779, some are single or a letter within a group. The single ones are 215, and the groups 83, with a total of 298 volumes. Ms. Wajiha al-Husseini offered generously 17 volumes, with topics as: <em>Al Fiqh al-Hanafi <\/em>(<em>Hanafi <\/em>jurisprudence) and its branches, <em>Al-Aqida<\/em> and origins of the religion, Prophetic Biography, religious ethics and Sufism, Arabic language, mathematics and astronomy, <em>al-Ijazat wa al-athbat<\/em> (transmission certificates and\u2026), philosophy and logic. Most of these manuscripts were copied during the Ottoman era. The oldest of these manuscripts is the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> part of the book \u201c<em>al Muhit<\/em>\u201d by Raddi al-Deen al-Sarkhasi (deceased in 571 Hijri\/1175 Gregorian). It was copied by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim al-Tahrani in 541 Hijri\/1146 Gregorian. It is likely that it is the oldest copy of \u201c<em>al-Muhit<\/em>\u201d that is still preserved in our lifetime. Some 67 manuscripts were associated with bindings from animal leather, and 89 were covered with carton marble before the 13<sup>th<\/sup> Hijri century. The research section in al-Dar published an initial index for the collection in 2002. It is currently preparing a new revised edition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Some of these manuscripts were verified, such as: \u201c<em>Risalet al-Jawab al-Qawim an al-su\u2019al al-muta\u2019leq bi iqta\u2019 al-sayyid Tamim<\/em>\u201d, and \u201ca Poem about Napoleon\u2019s Defeat in Akko\u201d, verified by Hasan al-Silwadi. The book \u201c<em>Kitab al-Fidda al-Mudi\u2019a fi Shareh al-Shathara al-Dhahabiyya fi ilm al-Arabiyya<\/em>\u201d verified by al-Allama Abdel Munim Fa\u2019ez Sa\u2019ed. The book \u201c<em>Kitab al-Mu\u2019arab ala al-ajurru wa miyya<\/em>\u201d, verified by Mustafa al-Khatib. The letter \u201c<em>Risalet ta\u2019reef al-mustarshid hakam al-gharras fi al-masjed<\/em>\u201d, verified by Bashir Barakat and Mohammed Khalid Kullab. The letter \u201c<em>risala sawb al-ghamama fi irsal al-amama<\/em>\u201d, published by Yusuf Abu Sneineh. The poem \u201c<em>al-durra al-mudiyya fi al-akhlaq al-mardiyya<\/em>\u201d, verified by Mash-hour al-Habazi, and \u201c<em>Zahr al-rabi\u2019 fi shawahed al-badi<\/em>\u201d, verified by Mahdi As\u2019ad Arar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The late Dr. Isaac Musa a-Husseini was able to collect several manuscripts that belonged to his family, then donated them to the library.
