Permanent Exhibition
The permanent exhibition seeks to convey the museum’s message and main purpose of its foundation, as it mainly features material evidence, photographs, historical pieces, and original documents for the visitor to acknowledge the museum’s history. The exhibition displays selections that were collected since the birth of the idea of the Palestinian Folkloric Museum in 1936 up to the establishment of the Folk Heritage Center as part of Dar al-Tifel Association in the 1960s, which contained the special collection accumulated by the late Ms. Hind al-Husseini. The permanent exhibition reflects modern methods and rich themes that are displayed in a harmonious, objective and professional way, all the while carrying the tale of the foundation of Dar al-Tifel al-Arabi Association in 1948
The museum’s exhibition allows visitors to get introduced to the excellence of the Palestinian heritage. It is supported by tales and information about the Palestinian society and its rich heritage, in a scientific, modern and pleasant method that reflects the openness and solidarity of all the Palestinian society’s components. It affirms that the heritage and legacy of knowledge are as old as the existence of Palestinians on this land.
