APIC and Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi Renew Agreement to Support Orphaned and High-Achieving Female Students

The Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC) and Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi Organization recently signed a sponsorship agreement to support orphaned and high-achieving female students through the APIC Educational Grant for the next five years. The agreement aims to support and enhance the pioneering role of Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi in caring for and educating female orphans in Jerusalem.

For his part, Mr. Nader Hawari, Executive Vice President of APIC, emphasized the importance of strengthening the resilience of non-governmental organizations in Jerusalem, particularly educational institutions that support less fortunate segments of Jerusalemite society. Hawari stressed the importance of backing the education sector in Jerusalem amid the fierce attacks this vital sector faces due to the conflict in the region.

Hawari added: “Today, with great pride and pleasure alongside our partners at Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi Organization, we announce the renewal of the APIC Educational Grant for the students of Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi School for another five years, noting that this support originally began in 2017. This agreement falls within APIC’s strategic vision for corporate social responsibility and reinforces the resilience of Jerusalem’s civil institutions. We take pride in our partnership with Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi, a champion of social work for female orphans and a prestigious Jerusalemite institution that preserves national identity and heritage in Jerusalem.”

On this occasion, educator Mahira Dajani, President of the Board of Directors of Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi Organization, expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to the management and team at APIC for their generous support of the school’s orphaned students. She expressed her pride in the genuine partnership with APIC that has continued for several years, emphasizing the importance of social solidarity and concerted efforts to care for female orphans. She also addressed the challenges facing Dar Al-Tifl Al-Arabi amid its determination to remain resilient, maintaining its administrative and economic independence, and taking pride in its Arab Palestinian identity. She called on local and Arab companies to follow APIC’s approach to strengthening the resilience of Arab Jerusalemites in the Holy City through its local NGOs.

Dajani added that since its inception, the organization has relied on donations, grants, networking, and partnerships with local and international bodies friendly to the Palestinian people. The institution aims to care for orphaned and needy Palestinian girls, provide them with a dignified life, educate and empower them to be self-reliant, focus on extracurricular activities, and foster a suitable environment through programs such as the Girl Guides movement and the establishment of literary and scientific clubs.
